KITTI KAMATH
Adyar Gopal Parivar
Kitti was born in Kakinada town, on
the east coast of erstwhile Madras
State. She was the second
daughter of Radhu, wife of Mijar
Cherdappa (Manjunath) Kamath.

She was the younger sister of
Radha Bai, wife of Adyar Gopal.

Kitti got married to a groom of the
Jalar family of Mangalore.

But before she could settle down
in her wedded life and bear
any children, she fell ill and died.
Her husband married a second
time later.

After that we have not heard of
him. Kitti too is forgotten
for all practical purposes.

Kitti was born after my mother Radha Bai (maiden name Amba) to Radhu and Cherdappa
Kamath in Kakinada town of east coast of India presently in Andhra Pradesh but included in
Madras province at the time of her birth sometime in 1919.
Her story is a sad story.
Like all other girls at those times, Kitti also married soon after she was considered to have
attained womanhood at the age of around 18 years. Her husband was an able well built young
and Kitti hoped for a happy married life. But her future became tragic within a short time.
