MOHAN VIDEO PRODUCTIONS
"Watch videos to know more about
members of Adyar Gopal Parivar."
The first movie that Dr. Shenoy
produced was in 1972 using
his Nikon Super 8 Movie
Camera. This camera used
film of the super 8 size without
sound recording. These silent
movies were converted into
videos in the year 2003 by Dr.
Shenoy using a Canon
projector and the wall as a
screen.  He then shot the
movie projected on the wall
using a Panasonic Digital
Video Camcorder.  The Nikon
movie camera was used in
1978 also to shoot some
events in the family as well as
some travel documentaries.  
All of them have been
converted into analog videos.
These movies have been
extensively used in producing
the movies listed in this page.  
Dr. Shenoy also used
hundreds of thousands of
photographs and slides to
make these movies.
Dr. Shenoy has now
transferred his movies to the
Adyar Gopal Parivar for
distribution. All the movies
made by Dr.Shenoy have been
distributed to his relatives and
friends free of cost.  Adyar
Gopal Parivar will publish
small video clips to describe
the members on the website.
These video clips are made in
English, Kannada and Konkani
languages.  Some of them
have English titles and others
have Kannada titles.
The video clips are of various
durations and range from 50
seconds to 3 minutes. Any one
who is a member of Adyar
Gopal Parivar can contact us
for any information with
regards to these video clips.

Damodar was a hard-working businessman living in
Dadar, Mumbai, India, all his life. He was the only
child of his parents Narasimha and Gulabi. He married
Pushpa and they had three daughters. Pushpa and
Damodar remained married for about 55 years.
Pushpa expired on 12th January 2009.
Gowri is the second child of Adyar Manjunath
Shanbhogue and Kamala. She married Gurpur Vittappa
Bhat. She gave birth to many children but only four
survived out of whom Gurpur Madhav Bhat is the
eldest. Gowri is elder sister of Adyar Gopal.
Achuth Kamath Bellare
Late Achuth was a beloved husband, devoted father,
faithful friend and a very loving Son-in-law of late Mijar
Dasappa Kamath. He was born in the year 1917.
Achuth Kini
Achuth (Ramachandra), Manjunatha,
Padmanabha and Keshava are the four sons of
Shanthappa Kini of Bantwal. Achuth married
Seetha Bai who delivered 7 girls and 1 boy. The
boy Shanthananda married Imala (married name
Lakshmidevi) who delivered 2 girls and one boy.
The boy Ramray married Jyothi who delivered
one girl and one boy.

Ajit Weds
Ajit Rewadkar is a great great grandson of Sampige
Madhavray Kini and Parvathi. His mother Prameela
who married Jaigovind Rewadkar was the eldest
daughter of Damodar. Damodar was the only son of
Narasimha, younger brother of Venkatray Kini.
Venkatray was a son of Sampige Madhavray Kini. Ajit
married Preethi in Mumbai.
Amit Rewadkar Weds
Amit is younger brother of Ajit. He is a great great
grandson of Sampige Madhavray Kini and Parvathi.   
Amit married Shweta in Mumbai.
Ananth Kamath
Gowri's elder daughter Appula married Krishna
Kamath. Appulla gave birth to three children: Ananth,
Miru Bai and Baby (also known as Sugandhi). Ananth
Kamath married Shobha. Shobha gave birth to two
girls; Anitha and Archana.
Anitha (daughter of Shobha and Ananth Kamath)
married to Sudarshan Rao. Anitha has given birth to a
boy.
Archana is married to Kiran Bhat.
Ananth Shenoy Mijar
Shanthayya married Venku. Venku's married name
was Kejji. Kejji delivered three children: Ananth,
Leelavathi and Saraswathi.
Eldest son
Ananth married Sridevi. Sridevi had
sixteen deliveries two of which were twins. So she
had eighteen children. Only eight of them have
survived to grow up beyond childhood, get married
and have children.  Their names are: Kasthuri,
Prema, Sadananda, Varadaraya, Bhaskar,
Shreemathi, Chandrakala, Krishnabai
Asha Prabhu
Asha is the eldest daughter of late Padav Vittal
Shenoy and late Prema. Prema was the eldest
daughter of late Manchkal Narayan Kudva and late
Rukmini Devi. Narayan was a son of Manchkal
Lakshman Kudva. Asha is married to Ramesh Prabhu
and they have two children, Arjun and Archana. They
live in Brahmavar village, Udupi District, on the west
coast of India. Prema was given away in marriage to
Padav Vittal Shenoy and she gives birth to six
children: Harendranath, Surendranath, Aasha,
Geetha, Vijaya and Sumana. Aasha is married to
Ramesh Prabhu and she gives birth to two children:
Archana and Arjun.

Baby (Sunanda)
Baby (Sunanda and Gowri) is a daughter of Bellare
Achuth Kamath and Yamuna. Yamuna is a daughter
of Mijar Dasappa Kamath. Yamuna married Achuth
Kamath and gave birth to Jayanthi, Balakrishna,
Shanthi, Sunanda (Baby)and Dinesh. Sunanda
married Shivanand Prabhu and gave birth to two
daughters, Deepa and Purnima.

Balakrishna Kamath
Balakrishna Achuth Kamath is the eldest son of late
Bellare Achuth Kamath and Yamuna junior. He is
married to Nandini and has a daughter by the name of
Namitha. Yamuna his mother puts up with her son
Balakrishna in Dahisar, Mumbai, or with her second
son Dinesh in Sewree in Mumbai.
Chithra is the elder daughter of late Ganpathray Bhat
and his widow Kasthuri.  Ganpathray was a son of late
Sridevi, third daughter of Adyar Manjunath Shanbhag.
His father was Gurpur Pandurang Bhat.

Das Baliga Jakkarbettu
Shanthayya's wife Venku's married name was Kejji.
Kejji delivered three children: Ananth, Leelavathi
andSaraswathi.
Saraswathi (also known as Sappulli)
was the youngest daughter of Mijar Shanthayya
Shenoy.  Sappulli was married to late Jakkarbettu Das
Baliga. Shanthayya Shenoy was the eldest son of the
eldest sister among the three sisters who formed our
ancestral pool.
Manchkal Devray Kudva Part 1
Manchkal Krishna Kudva is the grand old man (root
person) of a very large family of Kudva people. He had
four sons viz. Cherdappa, Upendra, Lakshman and
Narasimha. Among these Lakshman married
Subbamma, second daughter of Sampige Madhavray
Kini. Subbamma delivered seven children viz.
Narayana, Srinivas, Girija, Devray, Sanjeev, Vaman
and Shantha. Among these Devray married Krishna Bai
(AKA Gopi)
Manchkal Devray Kudva Part 2
Krishna Bai gives birth to ten children viz. Vatsala, Murali,
Sumathi, Seetharam, Pundalik, Vishwanath, Tara, Meera,
Shanthi and Geetha.

Girish Kudva weds.
Girish is the elder son of Manchkal Mohandas Kudva
and Shobha. He married Sushmitha who gave birth to
two daughters. Girish lives in Bangalore. Mohandas is
a son of late Manchkal Narayan Kudva and late
Rukmini Devi. Narayan is a son of Manchkal
Lakshman Kudva.
Gokuldas Bhat Gurpur
GOKULDAS BHAT is the younger son of Gurpur Ananth
Bhat.
Ananth Bhat, the younger son of Gowri got
married to Mohini.
Mohini gave birth to two boys:
Vittaldas and Gokuldas.
Vittaldas married Saguna.
Saguna gave birth to a girl whose name is Sohani.
Gokuldas married Shanthi. Shanthi gave birth to a girl
called Rakshitha (Anujna) and another girl was born
recently.
Jayanthi S. Prabhu
Jayanthi is the eldest daughter of Yamuna. Yamuna
was a daughter of Mijar Dasappa Kamath. Yamuna
(married name Sharada) is given in marriage to
Bellare Achuth Kamath. She bore five children:
Jayanthi, Balakrishna, Shanthi, Sunanda and Dinesh.
Jayanthi marries Subbaray Prabhu (see image) and
gives birth to four children: Jyothi, Sridevi, Meenakshi
and Ganesh.
Jayashree K. Pai
Venkatesh is a son of Adyar Gopalakrishna and
Radhabai. He married Maya who gave birth to three
children; Sushma, Jayashree and Yashwanth.
Jayashree married Kiran Pai and gave birth to one son:
Shreyas.
Jyothi D Pai
Jyothi lives in Kanhangad with her husband Damodar
Pai. Jyothi (Pushpa) is a daughter of Jayanthi S Prabhu
and Subraya. She gave birth to two children: one girl
Vinaya and one boy Srinivas.
Kitti, Daughter of Radhu
Kitti was born in Kakinada town, on the east coast of
erstwhile Madras State.bShe was the second
daughter of Radhu, wife of Mijar Manjunath Kamath.
She was the younger sister of Radha Bai, wife of
Adyar Gopal. Kitti got married to a groom of the Jalar
family of Mangalore. But before she could settle down
in her wedded life and bear any children, she fell ill
and died.  Her husband married a second time later.
After that we have not heard of him. Kitti too is
forgotten for all practical purposes.

Dattu Baliga
Dattu's given name is Damodar. He is the eldest son of
Sappulli (AKA Saraswathi). Sappulli was the third wife
of Jakkarbet Das Baliga (see above). Sappulli gave
birth to Damodar, Hanumanth, Vittal, Mohini, Meera,
Rathna and Chandrakala. Damodar married Kasthuri
who gave birth to Lalitha and Pandurang. Lalitha
married Subray Kamath and gave birth to Srikanth and
Suhasini. Pandurang married Veena who got two
children: Vivek,and Amritha.
Kasthuri G Bhat
Kasthuri, daughter of Padmanabha, married
Ganpathray Bhat, son of Sridevi, Padmanabha's
elder sister. Padmanabha married Lakshmidevi
(maiden name Narayani) of Bantwal Bhami family.
There are no pictures of Padmanabha the youngest
son of Kamala and Adyar Manjunatha Shanbhag.  
Padmanabha succumbed to smallpox in the epidemic
that spread across south India in 1935.
Narayani gave birth to a baby girl about 3 months
after Padmanabha's death.  This baby girl is Kasthuri
Bhat now (in the year 2018)  living in Mumbai.
Manchkal Lakshman Kudva
Lakshman is the ancestral root person for Adyar Gopal
Parivar. as he marries Subbamma, a daughter of
Sampige Madhav Kini. Lakshman was the third son of
Manchkal Krishna Kudva. Manchkal Krishna Kudva is
the grand old man (root person) of a very large family
of Kudva people. He had four sons viz. Cherdappa,
Upendra, Lakshman and Narasimha.
Late Lalitha Bhat was the younger daughter of late
Gowri and Gurpur Vittapp Bhat.  She was married to
late Ujjire Gopal Bhat and bore four children of which
three are boys and one girl.
Lalitha Gopal Bhat
Lalitha M Shenoy
Lalitha's maiden name was Leela. Leela is the 4th
daughter and 5th child of Radha and Narasimha Prabhu
of Gurpur. She married Mohan the 4th child of Radhabai
and Gopalakrishna Shenoy and gave birth to two
children, viz. Preethi and Srinath. She lives in Bangalore
with her husband.
Madhav Bhat
Late Madhav Bhat was the eldest and late Gowri.
Gowri was the second daughter of Adyar Manjunath
Shanbhag and Kamala. Kamala's maiden name was
Yamuna. Yamuna was the eldest daughter of Mijar
Annappa Kamath.
Mangesh (Naveen) Shenoy
Naveen is also known as Mangesh.
Naveen is the only child of late Adyar Sridhar Shenoy
and Bharathi. Late Sridhar Shenoy was a son of Adyar
Gopal. He lives in Bangalore.
Meera K. Bhat
Late Srimathi Meera Bhat was the only child of
Mudabidri Narasimha Prabhu, and Lakshmidevi
daughter of Nagarkatte Venkappa Mallya.
The maiden
name of Lakshmidevi was Sanjeevi and she was
married off to Narasimha, son of Radha by her father
Nagarkatte Venkat Mallya.  Narasimha's relation to
Mijar Annappa Kamath brings Meera into the folds of
Adyar Gopal Parivar.  Narasimha was the only son of
Radha, the younger daughter of Mijar Annappa
Kamath. Meera was married to late Sri Kogganna Bhat
of Kalkani.  
Meera V Prabhu
Meera was the first surviving daughter of Mijar
Dasappa Kamath. She married Madiketakrar
Venkatesh Prabhu of Idia village near Surathkal,
Mangalore. Her married name was Sharada. She gave
birth to four children of which two boys survived their
childhood diseases. They are Varadaraya and
Ramadas (see below).
Mithra B Prabhu
Mithra was renamed Pavithra
after she married Bhaskar Prabhu. Mithra is the
younger of the two daughters of Kasthuri Bhat, wife of
Ganpathray Bhat who are children of a brother and a
sister respectively. Kasthuri is daughter of
Padmanabha and Ganpathray is son of Sridevi.
Meenakshi Bhatta
Meenakshi isa daughter of Jayanthi Subbaraya
Prabhu.  Meenakshi's married name Jayashree Bhatta.
She is married to a son of Narayan Bhatmam of
Venkataraman Temple Mangalore.
Manchkal Mohandas Kudva
Manchkal Mohandas Kudva is from Manchkal
Lakshman Kudva family.  His great-grandfather late
Krishna Kudva hailed from Mundkur village situated
near Mangalore.  His grandfather late Lakshman
Kudva settled in Shirva Manchkal in early 20th
Century. Mr. M.M.Kudva is the second son of late
Narayan Kudva and late Rukmini Devi. Narayan was
the eldest son of Lakshman Kudva. Mohandas w
as
the Deputy General Manager of the Canara Bank,
and headed the Kanara Division. He got retired in
2009.
Nagappayya Baliga
Nagappayya was freedom fighter. He was the son of
the second wife of Balepuni Das Baliga whose third
wife Sappulli was from Adyar Gopal Parivar. He had a
younger sister, Anasuya. Nagappayya took part in the
freedom movement of Mahatma Gandhi in 1946 at the
age of 26 years in Bantwal. He was a patriot. He was
unmarried. He jointed a protest march and got lost in
the crowd. His whereabouts became unknown. If he
had died his body was not traced. No one knew what
happened to him. In 1996, to avoid any Brahmachari
Upadrava (curse of a dead bachelor) he was presumed
to be dead and his marriage (Arka Vivaaha) was
conducted as per the advice of astrologers. This was
followed by a funeral ceremony and a 13th Day
Vaikuntasamaradhana fest. His sister Anasuya
however got married and lived happily.
Nagesh R Nayak
Radha, the eldest daughter of Sridevi got married to
Devanna, the eldest son of Bolwar Narasimha
Prabhu. Radha gave birth to seven children of whom
the second child a girl, Shrimathi got married to
Nagesh eldest son of Rama Nayak of Mumbai.
Shrimathi's married name is Shantheri. Shantheri
gave birth two children, Neha and Naresh.
Manchkal Narayana Kudva
Narayana, eldest son of Subbamma (married name
Saraswathi) married Rukmini Devi who gave birth to six
children. Subbamma was the elder sister of Radhu,
mother of Radha Bai (wife of Adyar Gopal).
Nethravathi
Netravati is the eldest daughter of Adyar Manjunath
Shanubhogue and the eldest sister of Adyar
Gopalakrishna Shenoy. Netravathi was married at a
very young age and lost her husband even before
the marriage was consummated.
Srinivas Pai Family
Srinivas the younger brother of Baddakatte Bantwal
Ramachandra Kini married Subhadra who gave birth
to one child, Amba. Amba married Vasudev Pai of
Chikmagalur and gave birth to five children, viz.
Rathna, Sanjeev, Devadas, Dayanand and Meera.
Rathna married Mukund Kamath and gave birth to
seven children.
Prasad N Kudva
Prasad is the elder of two boys born to Shanthi.
Shanthi is the youngest child of Radha Bai and Adyrar
Gopalakrishna Shenoy. She married M N Kudva, one
of the children of Manchkal Srinivas Kudva. Srinivas is
a child of Subbamma, daughter of Sampige
Madhavray Kini and Parvathi.
Prema V. Shenoy
Prema was a daugter of Manchkal Narayana Kudva and
Rukmini Devi. She married Padav Vittal Shenoy and
gave birth to six children, viz. Harendranath,
Surendranath, Geetha, Asha, Vijaya and Sumana.
Ganesh S Prabhu
Ganesh is the only son of H Subraya Prabhu and
Jayanthi after three daughters were born before him. He
is married to Vidyalakshmi who gave birth to two
children, one boy and one girl. Ganesha's mother
Jayanathi is the eldest daughter of Yamuna A Kamath.
Yamuna is a daughter of Mijar Dasappa Kamath.
Death of Radhabai
Radhabai died on 5th February 1991. She was the
wife of Adyar Gopalakrishna Shenoy. She gave birth
to nine children among whom two died in childhood.
Seven survived among whom is Dr. Mohan G
Shenoy, the convenor of Adyar Gopal Parivar and the
Administrator of this website adyargopal.com. She
died in the house of Muralidhar, her youngest son.
Handwritten Book of Radhabai
Radhabai had studied upto only the 2nd class. She
had grown up in Telugu country, in Kakinada town
until she got married to Gopalakrishna at the age of
sixteen years. But she learnt Kannada on her own
after they settled down in Manglore. She wrote a
number of articles but the exercise book she wrote
her collections of poems and bhajans was given to
her son Mohan before she died.
I Ramdas Prabhu
Idia Ramadas Prabhu is the younger son of Idia
Venkatesh Prabhu.
Venkatesh belonged to the Madiketakrar family of
Gurpur. The elder brother is Varadaray.
Venkatesh married the eldest daughter Meera of Mijar
Dasappa Kamath.
Ramadas married Vijayalakshmi, the elder daughter of
Mijar Mukundray Kamath. Vijayalakshmi gave birth to
two children: Manjula and Suraj. Manjula married
Nandakumar and gave birth to one son Anarv. Suraj
married Nandini who gave birth to one son Tejas.
Mukundray Kamath is the youngest child of Mijar
Manjunath Kamath and Radhu.
Mukundray is the younger brother of Radha Bai, wife
of Adyar Gopal.
Baddakatte Ramray S Kini
Hiranki Ramraya Kini is the only son of late
Shanthanand Kini also known as Appa Kini of
Baddakatte Kini family. Shanthanand was the only son
of Ramachandra Kini, who was a grandson of the
eldest sister among the three lady ancestors of Adyar
Gopal Parivar. These three sisters formed the links
between the Mijar Shenoys, Mijar Kamaths and Hiranki
Kini family, by marrying the grooms in these families.   
Late Shanthappa Kini was the father of Ramachandra.
Late Lakshmidevi (maiden name) Imalabai had given
birth to three children: Shamala, Indira and Ramray.
Ramray married Jyothi who gave birth two sons.
Rathna Prabhu
Gurpur Rathna Bhat, daughter of Sridevi and
Pandurang Bhat was the sixth child. She was born in
the year 1933 in Mangalore town, South Kanara
District, Madras Province, India.
She grew up in Mangalore and after completion of her
Secondary Education, she moved to Mumbai
to live with her brother Srinivas.
She was married to Bolwar Ananth Prabhu and
gave birth to three children viz. Shyla, a girl, Vinay and
Arun, two boys.
Shyla is married to Sai Prakash Nayak and lives in
Mumbai.
Vinay is married to Rani and they have one son by the
name of Kevin.
Arun is married to Sandhya and they too have a son
by the name of Karan.
Rathna expired on 9-12-2005 at her home in
Mangalore.
Bolwar Ananth Prabhu is fondly called Appa. He
expired on 25th October 2015 in his own house in
Lower Car Street, Mangalore after a brief illness.
Sadanand Kudva
Late Sadananda Kudva was a popular figure in the
town of Shirva Manchakal and liked by all in his
neighbourhood. He expired on 12th September 2009
at Manchkal house. He is survived by his wife
Suneethi. He was born on 30th May, 1936.
His father late Sri M. Narayana Kudva was a hotelier.
His restaurant was located in Mumbai City. Narayana
was the eldest son of Lakshman Kudva and
Saraswathi. Saraswathi's maiden name was
Subbamma. Subbamma was the elder sister of Radhu.
Radhu was the mother of Amba yane Radha Bai.
Radha Bai was the wife of Adyar Gopalakrishna
Shenoy and mother of Mohan G Shenoy, the convenor

Shanthanand Kini
Shanthanand was the only son of Ramachandra Kini,
who was a grandson of the eldest sister among the
three lady ancestors of Adyar Gopal Parivar. These
three sisters formed the links between the Mijar
Shenoys, Mijar Kamaths and Hiranki Kini family, by
marrying the grooms in these families.   Late
Shanthappa Kini was the father of Ramachandra. Late
Lakshmidevi (maiden name) Imalabai had given birth to
three children: Shamala, Indira and Ramray.
Shanthi A Pai
Shanthi Ananth Pai is the second daughter of Yamuna
(junior) and Bellare Achuth Kamath.  Shanthi is
married to Ananth Pai of Adyanadka, and has four
children, three girls and one boy. They are Shamala,
Sooryakala, Roopa and Upendra. All the girls are
married. Ananth Pai expired on 5th July 2016.
Shanthi N Kudva
Shanthi is the youngest daughter of Radha Bai and
Adyar Gopalakrishna Shenoy. She married Nithyananda
Kudva of Manchkal and gave birth to two sons, viz.
Prasad and Yogesh.
Shashidhar Kini (M S Kini)
Shashidhar expired on 28th June 2018 at his son
Nagaraja's house in Mysore after a prolonged illness.
He was 81. He was the younger brother of Moodbidri
Madhavray Kini, and lived in Sasthan for most of his
life. He leaves behind his widow Kumuda, daughters
Rekha and Roopa and son Nagaraja apart from a
number of grandchildren and other relatives.
Sridevi S Pai
Sridevi is a daughter of H Subray Pai and Jayanthi of
Puttur. She married Srikar Pai of Kanhangad, Kerala.
She gave birth to two children, a girl Sriraksha and a
boy Srikanth.
Srinath Shenoy
Srinath, son of Mohan G Shenoy lives in USA. He had
graduated from BMS Engineering College of
Bangalore, India. He married Nisha, daughter of K.
Upendra Rao and Sheila of Udupi. Nisha gave birth to
Aadhya in USA.
Arangethram of Swathi and Smitha
Swathi is the elder daughter of Satish, (the second son
of Philips Bhat) and Gayatri.
Younger sister Smitha and Swathi had a succesful
Arangetram on 15th January 2012 in Mumbai.
Congratulations to them.
 Among the children of Gurpur
Varadaraya Bhat, Satish is the eldest living. Satish
married Gayathri.
Late Sridevi was the third child of Adyar Manjunath
Shanbhag and Kamala (maiden name Yamuna).
Sridevi got married to Gurpur Pandurang Bhat.
Sridevi was born in the year 1901.
Sridevi gave birth to ten children
1. Varadaraya, 2. Radha,
3. Ganpathraya, 4. Srinivasa
5. Muktha, 6. Sadananda, 7. Achuth
8. Rathna, 9. Saguna, 10.Vasanth
Vijay Bhandarkar
Vijay is the third and the last child of Saguna and
Vaman Bhandarkar. He married Shilpa who gave birth
to one daughter Trisha. Maya and Leka are the elder
sisters of Vijay. Saguna is a daughter of Sridevi and
Gurpur Pandurang Bhat.
Trisha's 1st Birthday
Trisha had her 1st birthday celebrated in a grand style
at the Pai Vista Convention Hall Basavanagudi in
Bangalore. Trisha's mother is Shilpa and her father is
Vijay Bhandarkar. Vijay is son of Saguna and Vaman.
Padmavathi V Prabhu
Padmavathi (maiden name Revathi) wife of
Kallamundkur Venkatesh Prabhu and mother of
Ganesh, Sadananda, Shantharam, Suresh, Ravindra,
Bharathi, Pandari, Meera, Vasanthi, Veena, and
Rajani, expired on 28 January 2013 at her Niddodi
Home after a brief illness.
B. Vittal Baliga is the second son of Sappulli also  known
as Saraswathi). Saraswathi was the youngest daughter
of Mijar Shanthayya Shenoy.  Sappulli was married to
late Jakkarbettu Das Baliga. Vittal married Hemavathi
who gave birth to three children, viz. Sujatha, Suneetha
and Harish.
Sujatha married Ganesh Pai and they got two children:
Abhishek and Amrith. Suneetha married Purushottam.
Harish married Sheela and they have two children:
Adithya and Anirudh.
Balepuni Vittal Baliga
Yashwanth Shenoy
Yashwant is the youngest child of Professor Adyar
Venkatesh Shenoy and Maya. Venkatesh is a son of
Adyar Gopal and Radha Bai. Yashwant is married to
Preethi Nangia and has a daughter, Tanisha.
Yashwanth is an engineer while his sisters are doctors.
The three Sisters each of whom married a groom from
the Hiranki Kini family, the Mijar Shenoy family and the
Mijar Kamath family form the parivar's root persons.
These three sisters formed
a strong link between
these families and thus among the descendants of
these families who form the Adyar Gopal Parivar.
Yogesh weds Veena
Manchkal Nithyanand Kudva married Shanthi.
Nithyanand is a son of late Manchkal Srinivas Kudva.  
Srinivas was a son of Subbamma, a daughter of
Sampige Madhav Kini. Shanthi is granddaughter of
late Radhu, sister of Subbamma.
Shanthi gave birth to two children, viz. Prasad and
Yogesh. Prasad married Puja. Yogesh married Veena.
K. K. Pai
Mohan Shenoy converted many of his films into videos
and this is one of them. This film was shot in a town in
USA while K K Pai was visiting his daughter. K K Pai
was a chairman of Syndicate bank for a lengthy period.
Dudle Pickle Story
Dudle is the name of a sour fruit that grows on plants
in the mountains of Wester Ghats. The pickle made
from this fruit is very tasty.

When Adyar Gopalakrishna Shenoy and Radhabai
were tenants in a small house near the Mahamaya
Temple in Mangalore, Tara's parents were also

Lalitha's Birthday at Wonder La

Lalitha in Kollur
When we traveled to Udupi to attend the wedding of
Narendra Kamath we also attended the wedding of
Swetha, daughter of Udaykumar at Padubidri and the
famous Kollur Mookambika temple at Kollur. We met
our old friend and relative Rathnakar Bhandarkar.
Arya Samaj Influence
In 1930s Adyar Gopalakrishna Shenoy was influenced
by the teachings of Arya Samaj. He stopped idol
worship and began performing 'havanas' at home.
Mangalore Teru
Sri  Venkataramana Temple in car street Mangalore is
a temple belonging to the GSB community. The annual
car festival is an important event here.
Om Namah Shivaaya
A huge statue of Lord Shiva situated at Kids Kemp on
HAL Airport road is a tourist attraction in Bangalore.

The annual Ganesha festival held at the Dwarakanath
Bhavan in Basavanagudi Bangalore is shown in this.

Mysore Dassera 2010
Dassera means 10 Days. Dassera is a 10-day fetival in
India. The festival is celebrated pompously in the city of
Mysore every year in the month of August or

Life in a metropolitan city such as Mumbai is a pleasure
because the well-to-do residents pour money to improve
the basic amenities required for their affluent life, which
is also enjoyed by the lower class residents as well.

Mother passes on her life to her baby. DNA of both
mother and father pass on to the baby. DNA in the
body of a person is derived from all the ancestors but
most of it is from the parents.

The New Year Day, 1st January in any year, is like
very day except for the new calendar we refer to. The
common calendar we use now is an arbitrary
beginning of a new year adjusted to the numbers we
count. Hindu calendar is different.

Appulla Kamath
Gowri's elder daughter Appula married Krishna Kamath.
Appulla gave birth to three children: Ananth, Miru Bai and Baby
(also known as Sugandhi). Ananth married Shobha. Shobha
gave birth to two girls; Anitha and Archana. Sugandhi (aka
Baby) married Kundapur Pandurang Bhat. Sugandhi gave birth
to a girl named Padma. Miru Bai remained a spinster.
Gurpur Bhats Story
Amchigeli Konkani is the language spoken by Gurpur
Bhats and the same is used for narration in the video.
Madhav Bhat weds
The memory of late Gurpur Madhav Bhat has been
made everlasting by his son Vitthaldas Bhat in Udupi
by continuing his ligacy in the Pandit Madhav Bhat
Music school. Madhav married Sharada, daughter of
Baddakatte Achuth Kini of Bantwal.
Cradling Ceremony
A name is given to the newborn baby at the time of
cradling ceremony. The first safe place for a baby to
sleep as long as it wants is in a cradle.
Omkaar Grihapravesham
House-warming ceremony of the Om-Kaar house of
Gurpur Gokuldas Bhat was held in 2011 at Hospet
near Ballari. His father Ananth Bhat was present.
Baddakatte Ramachandra Kini
Baddakatte Ramacandra Kini, was named after his
grandfather Ramachandra. He was therefore given a
nickname Achuth. Achuth was the eldest of four
brothers. His younger brothers were Padmanabha,
Manjunath and Keshav.
Where is Kashi?
Kashi is situated in western Uttar Pradesh on the
banks of River Ganga.
Suchetha's Mehendi Ceremony
On the previous evening there is what is known as
Mehendi ceremony performed on the bride. Mehendi is
henna paste applied artistically on the hands to
indicate that the wedding is a permanent affair like the
henna stain.
