ABSOLUTE FAITH AND ABSOLUTE KNOWLEDGE
By Mohan Shenoy

Let me try to write about faith and replace faith with the word knowledge. A person with Absolute Knowledge would not worry about dying. He simply says to himself, "When my time comes I will go."

When bad things happen, he does not blame God or Destiny. He simply accepts it as part of a larger game of life which is beyond his own comprehension and judgment. He is a liberated man. His faith in God/Destiny is such that he does not even feel the need to pray! He assumes that God/Destiny, if there is one, has already decided what is best for him.

A man of Absolute Knowldege does not need to go to temples, ring the temple bell, sing hymns, and perform rituals and ceremonies to appease God. A person with knowledge (about death) would not worry about dying. He simply says to himself, "When my time comes I will go."

When bad things happen, a man of Absolute Knowledge, blames his foolishness. He accepts it as his failure to perform well and determines to do his best next time with better judgment. He is a liberated man. His faith in knowledge is such that he does not even feel the need to pray!

He assumes that his knowledge of things helped him to decide what is best for him.A man of knowledge does not need to go to temples, ring the temple bell, sing hymns, and perform rituals and ceremonies to appease any Higher Power or God.

The strength of Absolute Knowldege sustains him. He knows that the kingdom of heaven, if there is one, is within him. A man of Absolute Knowledge is not a passive man who sits idle doing nothing. He is full of energy, enthusiasm, dynamism, creativity, ideas and plans.
However, a man of knowledge does not consider these as his own creation. Instead, he looks at himself as the instrument of God/Destiny, if there is one, and invests his energies in the service of humanity.

A man of knowledge is not bothered by the outcome of his actions. His satisfaction lies in the fact that he did what he was destined to do by the Higher Power. if there is one. The strength of his knowledge sustains him. He knows that the kingdom of heaven, if there is one, is right here on earth.

A man of knowledge is not a passive man who sits idle doing nothing. He is full of energy, enthusiasm, dynamism, creativity, ideas and plans. However, he considers these to be worthy of practicing. He looks at himself as the initiator of actions and invests his energies in the service of humanity. He is very much bothered by the outcome of his actions. His satisfaction lies in the fact that he did what he chose to do and determined to be the best choice in the circumstances.

The statement "exercising, jogging and deep breathing are not beneficial in dealing with stress" is incorrect. I feel exercising (yoga), jogging (athletics) and deep breathing (pranayama) are as beneficial to deal with stress as understanding what stress is.

It is not easy for any person to understand all situations wherein he can recognize the building up of pressure in the mind and thus lead to increase in blood pressure.

People who develop painful emotions will not readily recognize that they should check these emotions and keep themselves from stress.

Concluded.
